The other day, on Air Force One, President Trump revealed that he had undergone an MRI during his visit to Walter Reed. It was assumed that President Trump was undergoing a routine checkup, and the reason for the MRI was not disclosed. However, President Trump said his MRI results were "perfect", and there is nothing to worry about when it comes to his health. Some Democrats decided to play their normal political theater games and escalate the situation. The Senate Democrats X account tweeted out, “His own staff took him to get an MRI and screened for dementia. What do they know that they haven’t told people???” This is pure irony in its highest form.
Throughout the Biden presidency, the American people were gaslit, being told, "Everything is fine, the president is mentally sharp and in good health." However, after the debate on June 27th against Donald Trump, the American people realized President Biden was not fine, and it looked like he had declined significantly. The American people's concerns had been verified, and Democrats chose to attack those who were worried. There are many examples of Democrats gaslighting the American people, but here are a few:
- Josh Shapiro, in August of 2024, said he had no concerns about President Biden's cognitive health. Later, he told Biden privately he was worried about shortcomings.
- In July of 2024, Pete Buttigieg defended Biden as a focused and disciplined leader. After the election, he admitted in hindsight that Biden's candidacy hurt Democrats.
- Ro Khanna said the President was completely mentally sharp. Later, he admitted he was worried about Biden's fitness for office.
These are only a few examples of Democrats lying to the American people about Biden's fitness for office during the last two years of his presidency. There are many more examples from people within Biden's White House staff of them lying to the American people about the former President's health.
This is why it is ironic that they want to slam Trump for not releasing that he was getting an MRI done. Democrats participated in the biggest cover-up in American political history, and it is almost like they forgot about it. Some advice to Democrats: stop participating in political theater if you want a shot at winning the midterms and the 2028 election. Americans do not like it, and there is a reason your favorability rating keeps falling. This blatant attempt at political theater will not work with the American people. They remember all the bullshit lies you told us about President Biden, and they are still not over it. Continuing to attempt to gaslight the American people does not win elections; policy does, but your party has not been able to put forth a good policy message in the last five years.
We will see what the real reason was for Trump getting an MRI the other day, but until then, Democrats need to stop the political theater and focus on policy, since their branding is in the toilet right now.
